Objectives

The goals are to understand the basics of association activities:
-Get to know the structures and rules of association activities.
-Learn the roles and responsibilities of the board and members of the association.
To develop board working skills:
-Exercise effective meeting organization and decision-making.
-Learn strategic planning and action assessment.
Improve communication and negotiation skills:
-Develop internal and external communication within the association.
-Exercise negotiation skills and conflict management.
To promote member acquisition and maintenance:
-Learn member acquisition strategies and maintaining membership.
-Develop ways to activate and engage members.
To strengthen the association's advocacy work:
-Explore the ways of influencing and campaign planning.
-Learn how to build collaboration with other organizations and stakeholders.
To create a safe and non-discriminatory operating environment:
-Learn the importance of non-discriminatory language and practices.
-Exercise in the identification and handling of harassment situations.

Content

The completion of the course requires participation in the board work of a student association or organization. A report of responsibilities, duties and duties is prepared according to the instructor's guidance.
