Objectives

The aim of the course is to create an understanding of how companies in the sector operate and to learn basic working life skills.

After completing the course, students will
• identify text types relevant to their studies and working life and write factual texts in accordance with the guidelines for correct language use
• act in a goal-oriented, interactive and responsible manner in group situations
• make written and oral presentations to the target audience and illustrate them
• use different communication channels and tools.
• identify and exploit job opportunities in the field
• identify and understand the importance of safety and quality
• know the stages of the innovation process.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1-2)

Students will be able to define the key concepts of the module. Students will carry out the assigned tasks as a member of a group under supervision. Students will be familiar with different teamwork and communication methods. Students will be able to search for and use information relevant to their field. The student will recognise his/her role and interactions in a team. Identifies practices and activities in the field. They can give and receive feedback and evaluate their own performance.

Assessment criteria, good (3-4)

The student will be able to articulate the key issues of the module. The student can share his/her knowledge in a team and can solve the given tasks in a comprehensive and timely manner. The student can search, compare and select information in solving tasks. The student will master a variety of teamwork and communication methods. The student is able to work in a team in an interactive and responsible manner and is able to evaluate issues from his/her own and the local community's point of view. The student is able to actively give constructive feedback.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

Students will have a broad understanding of the themes of the module and will be able to apply them in practice. Students will be able to search for and combine information and analyse the present and future of their field. Students will be able to work constructively and interactively in a team and recognise the importance of long-term, process-oriented work in line with working life. They can search for alternative theories and knowledge and can solve problems in a reasoned way, taking into account the present and the future and evolution of the sector. The student will be able to evaluate information and different solution options. They can work professionally and responsibly in a team and encourage others. The student will be able to develop his/her own and team's activities. The student will be able to give timely and developmental feedback.
