Objectives

The students know the future potential with circular economy. The participants are able to connect the global megatrends to the development of circular economy. The course will approach circular economy from local, national and global level.

Content

Circular economy, value creation, life cycle assessment (LCA), sustainability, resilience, megatrends, society.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1-2)

Knowing: recognizes the main megatrends and understands the meaning and principles of circular economy.
Doing: manages the assigned tasks under supervision/assisted in the field of circula economy,
Being: can give and receive feedback, can work in a group, takes responsibility for his/her own work.

Assessment criteria, good (3-4)

Knowing: explains different concepts of circular economy and applies different megatrends' role in them.
Doing: applies substance matter learnt in previous studies, works process way in circular economy related tasks.
Being: can give and receive feedback actively and constructively, can cooperate responsibly and is ready to develop his/her interaction skills.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

Knowing: Analyses circular economy cases and arguments well to solutions of tasks.
Doing: can search for diverse solution alternatives in circular economy, justifies his/her opinions and views in discussions on the topic.
Being: can cooperate responsibly, flexibly and constructively, develops his/her own and the group's interaction, works responsibly and in a committed manner considering the community and field requirements and needs.
