Objectives

Trade and entrepreneurship studies are a study module organized by The K-Retailers’ Association. These e-learning studies cover retail sector and retailer entrepreneurship in Finland. The course Key Ratios and Management is one of three courses in this module, dealing with most important key per-formance indicators in retail industry and developing a store department based on these indicators.

After completing the course the students:
- know the key performance indicators of daily management in retail sector
- are able to analyze the performance of a store department based on ratios
- are able to develop operations in a department on a basis of key figures.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1-2)

The student knows the most important key figures in retail sector and is able to name some ways
to develop a store department based on these figures.

Assessment criteria, good (3-4)

The student knows of basic key figures in retail sector and knows how the store department can be developed based on these figures.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

The student has mastered the key figures in retail sector and understands how the store department can be developed based on these figures.
