Objectives

The student is familiar with various acting techniques and can apply them in their own work. They are able to physicalize the text material they analyze on stage and recognize their own strengths as an actor. The student understands the dramatic arcs at the level of individual scenes and roles, and can work with given texts, considering professional work and audition situations. Additionally, the student has compiled a portfolio of monologues in different styles that suit them.

Content

The course involves actor-oriented exercises aimed at embodiment of acting and practicing textual work in a professional context, aligning with the demands and expectations of the working world. During the course, students will also explore the work of directors and their approaches to working with theater texts from their own perspective.
The course includes the following components:
• actor-oriented exercises: These exercises introduce students to various acting techniques (such as Stanislavski, Meisner, etc.).
• physical expression analysis: Students will explore physical expression as an integral part of acting.

Prerequisites

Acting 2 has been successfully completed.

Assessment criteria, pass/fail

Passed: The student masters and applies various acting techniques in their work at the appropriate level, highlighting the distinctive features of different styles. Their expression is reasonably versatile and personal, and they demonstrate excellent control over artistic compositions.
Rejected: The student exhibits significant deficiencies in the above-mentioned areas.
