The student masters the basic concepts of music analysis and is able to perceive, analyze, and describe small-scale musical structures from different stylistic periods

• exersices in analyzing music from different stylistic periods of tonal music

Prerequisites
Competence equivalent to the extensive curriculum of a music institute.
Assessment criteria, pass/fail
The student can identify and describe musical structures at different levels of form, abstract their analytical observations, apply music theory concepts to them, and justify their analytical solutions. The student’s presented analytical observations are mostly relevant and form a coherent whole.
