Objectives

The objective of the course is to familiarize students with the roles in multi-camera production, directing language, principles of visual storytelling, and professional execution, both technically and production-wise.

After completing the course, the student
- can carry out multi-camera productions within a multidisciplinary team
- knows the roles of different job positions and the production and technical resources they require
- is familiar with the fundamentals of setting up multi-camera technology, as well as the command language and the system of shot sizes
- can efficiently and ecologically plan multi-camera productions to meet the client's or TV channel's needs.
- can identify and fulfill the production and technical requirements of the distribution channel
- can work in a professional television and streaming production team

Content

Planning and execution of TV production using multicamera setups.
Roles and nature of work in multicamera production.
TV technology, control language, and shot compositions in multicamera production.
Requirements of distribution channels and subscribers in TV productions.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1-2)

The student is aware of the job roles within multi-camera production and the resources they require. They can plan multi-camera productions and investigate the needs of distribution channels, but their application is somewhat lacking. They understand the basics of setting up multi-camera production, command language, and shot size systems. They are developing their skills in multi-camera and streaming productions under guidance.
