Objectives

The aim of the course is to gain practical experience in physiotherapy.

Student

• choose their actions in a professional way in physiotherapy situations
• assess the effectiveness of their own activity and guidance in physiotherapy
• argue their own actions through research
• act according to ethical principles
• plan, instruct and evaluate a customer’s physiotherapy process
• document a customer’s stages in the physiotherapy process

Assessment criteria, pass/fail

Evaluation criteria, pass/fail:

A passed mark is the result of the student:
• being able to recognise and define key points of physiotherapy
• being able to recognise signs of a serious pathology (red flags)
• being able to recognise yellow flags regarding psycho-social situations and take them into account when performing physiotherapy
• performing given tasks under guidance and partly independently
• still working in a routine-like manner
• preparing for new situations
• being able to receive and give feedback
• being able to work in collaboration with the employees of the clinical placement
• being able to recognise their interaction skills
• bringing their professional competence to light

A failed mark is the result of the student:
• lacking in basic knowledge
• repeatedly disregarding preparations for new situations
• lacking in spontaneity
• lacking in collaboration skills
• behaving inappropriately and unprofessionally
• having unrealistic self-evaluations
• having a bad attitude against feedback
• not respecting proper intimacy and individuality of the clients
• dangers patient safety
• not following duty of secrecy or other ethical rules of physiotherapy
• being absent from the practice a lot, and fails to accomplish goals
