Objectives

The aim of the course is to develop the observation and support of basic movement and physiotherapeutic guidance.

On completion of the course, the student will

• can describe the stages of motor learning and know their theoretical background
• know the basics of basic movement and physiotherapeutic guidance in individual and group situations
• know the most common mobility aids and how to use them to support the client's functional capacity
• knows the therapeutic effects of music
• knows the importance of oral communication in different interaction situations
• knows the main structures and functions of the respiratory and circulatory systems, their regulatory mechanisms and cooperation
• knows how to control and support respiratory function
• recognises the body's stress reactions, the importance of relaxation and good sleep
• knows the function of the autonomic nervous system
• knows the basic principles of classical massage and know the mechanisms of its action
• knows the importance of asepsis and hygiene in physiotherapy

Assessment criteria, pass/fail

Approved performance:

• The student will actively participate in the examination of the topic in a way that contributes to the discussion of the topic, using a wide range of source material.
• The student will present the subject matter of the course in an informed manner in collaboration with other members of the group.
• Students will be able to describe and analyse movement, locomotion and the basic stages of human movement in terms of guidance.
• The student will return the physical education didactics and speech communication assignments and the physiotherapy content learning diary within the agreed time and according to the given recording guidelines.
• The student passes the physiology exam.
