Student understands essential concepts and theories in industrial economics and business, and is able to look at them in practice in different industries. Student understands how companies operate and is able to interpret their solutions from the point of view of a company’s strategies and profitability. Student knows special characteristics of products and services introduced during the course, and different ways to produce them. Student understands cost structure of a company and is able to apply simple pricing-, budgeting-, cost calculations and knows the essential indicators of profitability. Student is able to compare the cost-effectiveness of different investments. Student knows the content and relevance of a quality management system and enterprise resource planning (ERP) for companies. Student knows the principles of production planning and understands the delivery chain to a customer.

Student is able to complete the given assignments under supervision. Student identifies the important practices of export trade and dealing with clients.
