After the course, the student is able to:

- understand and articulate current, historical and emerging energy production methods.
- analyse and apply knowledge of renewable energy sources and fossil energy sources assessing their feasibility and effectiveness in real-world scenarios.
- comprehend the concept of the energy transition and its implications for energy production, consumption, and the environment.
- synthesize and propose means of implementing energy efficiency.
- evaluate and discuss the impact of legislation and policy on energy management.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1-2)

Has a basic understanding of current, historical, and emerging energy production methods. Can analyze renewable and fossil energy sources at a fundamental level, assessing their feasibility in simple scenarios. Understands the concept of the energy transition and its basic implications for energy production, consumption, and the environment. Demonstrates elementary knowledge of energy efficiency implementation. Aware of the impact of legislation and policy on energy management, but lacks depth in evaluation and discussion.
