Osaamistavoitteet
The course forms the basis for textile and material engineering studies and gives grounds for professional development. The student has an insight into the global textile industry and business and is familiar with new innovations in the textile industry. The student shows understanding and appreciation of the global textile and apparel market. The student understands the value chain of the textile industry. The student has an overview about the versatile employment opportunities in the field and understanding and for what purpose textile engineering expertise is needed.

Knowing: Student can define the basics of global textile industry and knows the most essentials issues related to the topic.
Acting: Capability to analyze simple tasks related phenomena like discussed examples. The student manages the assigned tasks under supervision/assisted.
Being: The student can give and receive feedback, can work in a group, takes responsibility for his/her own work.
Arviointikriteerit, hyvä (3-4)
Knowing: The student has versatile and fluent ability to understand and analyze the core topic of the course and has good understanding of these issues.
Acting: The student can search for diverse solution alternatives, justify his/her choices and try new courses of action, assesses diverse solution alternatives, combines solution alternatives creatively or creates new ones.
Being: The student can cooperate responsibly, flexibly and constructively, develops his/her own and the group's interaction, works responsibly and in a committed manner considering the community and field requirements and needs.
