Objectives
The aim of the course is to get acquainted with the basics of renovation construction and its differences compared to new construction, as well as to know old used structural solutions and their repair methods. In addition, students become familiar with working in a project team.
Content
During the course, the group will make a plan for the implementation of the actual renovation project, which includes a method description, a schedule, a quality, safety and environmental plan and a cost estimate. The course also covers the risks of renovation and minimizing them. All lessons are team-based implementation plans.
Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1-2)
The student group has returned the assignment done in accordance with the assignment. The student is able to use the basics included in the course and solve simple applications that are similar to the tasks covered. All members of the group receive the same rating.
Assessment criteria, good (3-4)
The students of the group have thought of different solutions and working methods for the successful implementation of this task and created one working model that could be implemented in construction production. The student is able to apply the issues of the course to different situations and is able to justify solutions. All members of the group receive the same rating.
Assessment criteria, excellent (5)
The students of the group have shown great interest and familiarity with the topic area and have achieved a viable production solution on time. The student has a comprehensive understanding of the issues of the course and their use in solving problems, as well as the ability to present and justify logically chosen solution methods. All members of the group receive the same rating.
