Osaamistavoitteet

The course aims to provide opportunities to work with companies to optimize their digital strategy. n this course, we will learn how to manage marketing strategies in the digital space. In the business landscape, the use of digital tools and technologies like the internet, smartphones, 3D printers, augmented reality (AR), and artificial intelligence (AI) is the new normal. This rise of digital technology has provided marketers with an astounding and diversified array of novel tools for reaching, engaging, monitoring, and responding to customers. In today’s world, businesses, regardless of their size and type, are leveraging websites, search engines, blogs, social media, video, email, and similar channels to reach customers.

After completing the course, the student will be able to:
• understand the role of digital marketing as part of the overall strategy of a firm.
• identify how to use digital tools to implement marketing strategy and marketing management in the digital space.
• develop digital marketing strategies for large, medium-sized, and small businesses.
• implement digital marketing tools to help companies in the current situation.

• How companies of all sizes perceive the role of digital marketing in firm strategy?
• How can companies of all sizes capitalize on digital tools?
• How can businesses create opportunities using digital tools?
• How can companies create content and target it accordingly?
• What kind of integrated marketing communication is needed for businesses?

Introduction to Marketing or equivalent.

Arviointikriteerit, tyydyttävä (1-2)

The student has introductory knowledge of digital marketing practices but lacks an active role in creating and publishing content for the purpose. In a team his/her role is merely passive, and he/she requires help from others to cope with his/her own tasks.

Arviointikriteerit, hyvä (3-4)

The student has basic knowledge of digital marketing and is able to independently take responsibility of his/her own learning as well as support other team members. He/she is an active contributor to the team, is able to understand and use social media channels for digital marketing and can provide good digital content to engage customers.

Arviointikriteerit, kiitettävä (5)

The student has advanced knowledge of digital marketing tools, is independent, takes full responsibility of his/her own learning and helps other team members to succeed. He/she understands well the dynamics of social media channels in marketing and is able to create attractive digital content to engage existing customers and attract new ones.
