Tavoitteet (OJ)

Improve your visual design skills by working on a project, ideally within a small team. Gain experience by working with real-life clients. Learn how to handle projects and manage your time effectively. Understand the possibilities of sustainable production methods. Put into practice your previously acquired skills and learn teamwork.

Work in a customer-oriented and self-directed way within a student team. Smaller, individual projects are also possible.

Sisältö (OJ)

Methods and practice of visual design projects for real-life clients as well as students' own projects. The project course has a flexible structure where teachers follow the student projects on a weekly basis. In these meetings, students report their project's status and progress.

The projects are documented as an initial project plan and a final project report, as well as a visual presentation of the project results. Each student will submit an individual project report.

The student:
• Has participated in a project, but their attendance and work ethics have been lacking.
• The work done in the project is lacking in quality and/or has been substantially late from the intended schedule.
• In a group project, the student shows being able to work in a team and perform given tasks as instructed. The student can receive and give feedback but may have some problems with making changes to their work according to feedback.

Arviointikriteerit, hyvä (3-4) (OJ)

The project has been accomplished in the intended schedule, and its results are adequate or good in their quality.

The team and the student have shown to be able to work towards a preconceived goal within a professional setting.

The student is able to give and receive constructive, professional feedback in order to achieve higher quality in their work. Strives towards making the team and its members function effectively and harmoniously.

The student understands the various methods of project management and knows how to apply them in practice.

Arviointikriteerit, kiitettävä (5) (OJ)

The project has been accomplished promptly, showing a high level of professionalism and ability to work towards a preconceived, practical goal.

The student understands large-scale entities in visual project work and the relationships between them. Is able to generalise, analyse and connect within a professional context.

Is able to look for different project management methods and solution options, justify choices and try out new models. Evaluate solutions creatively and create new ones​. Finds new and insightful solutions to express their message visually.

Uses feedback systematically as a tool for professional growth and that of their community. Examine and evaluate themselves and the community or work entity in which they work in their own professional field. Is able to cooperate and act responsibly, flexibly and constructively.
