Osaamistavoitteet

The course prepares students for the principles of a participatory art project in communities.

Students know how to manage a small-scale art project as a service design for the community or an institution. Students apply the basics of fine art practices like production planning, practices of participatory projects, negotiating with members of the community and various presentation solutions.

Arviointikriteerit, tyydyttävä (1-2)

The student is able to identify and define phenomena and concepts related to community art projects on a basic level. The student performs the assigned task under supervision. The student performs routine procedures and pre-learned tasks. The student knows how to give and receive feedback in a constructive manner. The student is able to work in a team and recognizes their interaction skills. The student recognises practices that are important in their field. The student takes responsibility for their own performance.

Arviointikriteerit, hyvä (3-4)

The student understands the principles of interrelations between phenomena and concepts related to the field of community art. The student is able to choose the most suitable procedure. The student evaluates issues from both their own perspective and that of their community. The student listens to the members of the community, is able to cooperate responsibly and is ready to develop their interaction skills. The student follows the practices that are important for the values of the community. Is able to describe and evaluate the economic and well-being impacts of the community.

The student understands entities and the interrelations between them in community art. The Student Is able to look for diverse operating methods and solution options. The student is able to evaluate diverse solution options and create new ones. The student Is able to cooperate responsibly, flexibly and constructively. In their report, the student praises the community. The student acts responsibly and committedly, taking into account the requirements and needs of the community. The student understands the ecological, economic and well-being impacts of their operations to the community and acts according to them.
