Student is able to use the basic skills in water colour and acrylic painting. Student recognizes painting as a medium for contemporary art. Student is able to collaborate in an international student team.

Content

The student learn basic skills of painting: outlining form on a two-dimensional surface, various colour and material exercises, basics of watercolor and acrylic painting. The course is a workshop consisting of exercises, independent painting and discussions. Sustainable development.

Course will be in Mediapolis, classroom 20064. Starts on Monday, 9.10 at 9.00.

Mon 23.10. at 9.00 final feedback to watercolor painting.
Thu 2.11. at 10.15 final feedback to acrylic paintings.

Assessment methods and criteria

Grading is based on your work, effort, attitude, class participation, and attendance & punctuality. The degree of difficulty and risk-taking of your paintings will be of utmost importance in grading.
