- Apply different service design methods
- Design interactive services in a user-centered and co-creative way
- Use analytics to improve the service experience quality
Content (course unit)
Process, principles, tools and methods, service designer’s role, visual design in digital service design.

Location and time
Part of the course days are organised as contact teaching in Mediapolis. Distance learning days are organised on Zoom. Change of plan is possible. All the course days require active participation, most common learning method is workshop, Lessons are not recorded.
Exam schedules
No tests, but assignments and presentations.

Lectures, assignments, issue based discussions, case solutions, prototyping and student's presentations.
Learning materials
Teachers will instruct about reading materials during the course
Student workload
In addition to the lessons, reserve time for the self study and assignments.
Content scheduling
Basics of service design. Customer journey map. Service blueprint. Prototyping in service design.
Practical training and working life cooperation
The students will connect to the working life through assignments.
Further information
The students should have basic understanding of user experience design before entering the course, e.g. Introduction to User Experience Design Course or studies in User Experience Design minor or similar skills.
