Objectives
The students know the basics of database systems, the standards and their basic functions. The students learn the basic skills of managing database servers and the basic server functions. The students can design and implement small-scale databases using SQL.
Content
Concepts, SQL standards and database software. Client-Server in practice. The basic functions of database servers: starting up as server, inquiries and turning off the server. Designing databases and database normalization techniques. Implementing a database by SQL.
