Objectives (course unit)

The students learn the basic needs which affect an employer’s behaviour and how those needs affect the work motivation. The students learn to identify positive and negative stress, burn-out and depression and the factors in the working community which may lead to them. The students know what tasks management includes. The course focuses on the tasks and tools of management on a site. The students learn the most commonly used organisation structures as well as management systems and models, for example team work.

Content (course unit)

The students learn communication skills and each student takes part in a management personality test. Of the basics of leadership, the course covers communication skills, motivation, well-being at workplace, self-management, organisation structures, management tasks in an enterprise and management tools. Of management skills, the course covers management systems and styles, team work and management tasks in a site (goals, organisation, decisions, supervision, staff development). The course also covers the main points of labour legislation and collective labour agreement. The students also learn site management through practical examples.

- is able to drag and drop a brainstorming session with the help of a checklist
- identify leadership roles and tools
- identify the basics of well-being at work
- identify the stages of employee recruitment
- knows the main tasks of daily site management
- identify the organizational structure of the company
- identify the company management system

- is able to pull the idea trick smoothly
- knows basic management tasks and applies management aids
- Identify the basics of well-being at work and their importance
- Can work as part of a recruitment team
- Know the principles of human resource management

Assessment criteria, excellent (5) (course unit)

- knows the basics of communication and can chair the meeting smoothly
- is able to apply in practice the basic formula of the idea trap in different situations
- knows the tasks and tools of management and is able to apply them in practice
- identify the basics of well-being at work and be able to apply them in practice
- can work independently in different stages of employee recruitment.
