Objectives (course unit)

The student can name hydrocarbon or carbonyl compounds and basic compounds of alcohols, phenols, ethers and esters.
The student can write the structural formulas and basic chemical reaction formulas and explain isomerization.

Content (course unit)

The most common groups of organic chemistry compounds are hydrocarbon compounds, carbonyl compounds, aldehydes, ketones and carboxylic acids, alcohols, phenols, ethers, esters, thiols and amines. Structural Formulas, Naming and Isomerism of Previous Compound Groups. Basic Reactions: Substitution, Addition, and Elimination Reactions.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1-2) (course unit)

Knowledge: The student recognizes the functional groups of organic chemistry and is able to name straight-chain and branched hydrocarbons as well as oxygen-containing compounds. The student recognizes the concept of isomerism.
Completion: The student performs the given tasks under supervision / assistance.
Being: The student is able to give and receive feedback

Assessment criteria, good (3-4) (course unit)

Knowledge: The student knows the functional groups of organic chemistry and is able to name straight-chain and branched hydrocarbons as well as oxygen-containing compounds. The student is familiar with the concept of isomerism.
Action: The student is able to choose the most appropriate procedure from different options and justify his / her choice
Being: The student is able to give and receive feedback actively and constructively.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5) (course unit)

Knowledge: The student is able to apply his / her knowledge of the functional groups of organic chemistry and is able to name straight-chain and branched hydrocarbons as well as oxygen-containing compounds. The student is able to apply the concept of isomerism.
Action: The student is able to search for different ways of working and solutions, justify their choices and try new ways of working.
Being: The student systematically uses feedback as a tool for the professional growth of himself and his community
