Objectives

The student
- is able to perform an independent clinical examination of a patient with an injury or sudden illness and assess his/her status, to determine the level of clinical treatment and medication required
- knows the correct and safe use of various examination and treatment equipment as well as medical and messaging devices
- knows the documentation and reporting of an emergency patient, as well as patient and family guidance
- knows the principles of teamwork in accordance with patient and occupational safety and is able to act as a situation manager in a multi-patient situation

Content

- simulations (falling ill / getting injured)
- demonstrations (IO, synchronisation / cardioversion)

Prerequisites

The basic skills of emergency care must be fully completed

- is able to plan and implement emergency nursing care safely
- works professionally and ethically

- puts patient safety at risk
