Objectives (course unit)

Students
-master the basic mathematical methods related to the needs of the education and working life
-know the basic principles of mechanics, theory of wave motion and electricity and are able to utilize the information in the equipment technique of the field of study
-know the magnitude and measurement system of physics
-know the principles of the safe use of electric equipment
-knows the basic principles of radiation and nuclear physics
-know the function of x-ray and ultrasound equipment with auxiliary equipment

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1-2) (course unit)

-can utilize basic mathematical methods related to the needs of working life
-can name the basic principles of mechanics, theory of wave motion and electricity
-can name the magnitude and measurement system of physics
-can describe the principles of the safe use of electric equipment
-can describe the basic principles of radiation and nuclear physics
-can describe the measurement system and the most significant measuring methods of radiation physics
-can describe the function of x-ray and ultrasound equipment with auxiliary equipment

Assessment criteria, good (3-4) (course unit)

-can do basic mathematical calculations related to the needs of working life
-can name the basic principles of mechanics, theory of wave motion and electricity
-can name the magnitude and measurement system of physics
-can explain the principles of the safe use of electric equipment
-can explain the basic principles of radiation and nuclear physics
-can explain the measurement system and the most significant measuring methods of radiation physics
-can explain the function of x-ray and ultrasound equipment with auxiliary equipment

Assessment methods and criteria

Kolme kirjallista koetta. Kaikkiin kokeisiin on osallistuttava. Osien 1 (matematiikka) ja 2 (yleinen fysiikka) suorituksen voi tehdä etukäteen näyttökokeella, jolloin niiden osien tunneille ei tarvitse osallistua. Jos näyttökokeesta saa arvosanan 1 tai 2, niin näiden osien tunneille osallistuminen on suositeltavaa. Kolmannen osan tunneille ja kokeeseen osallistuvat kaikki. Kolmannen osan (säteilyfysiikka ja laitetekniikka) kokeesta on saatava vähintään 1/2 pisteistä, jotta STUKin pätevyysvaatimuksen täyttyisivät. Opintojakson arvosana määräytyy osien arvosanojen painotettuna keskiarvona. Painokertoimet:
Osa 1, matematiikka, 1 op: painokerroin 25 %
Osa 2, yleinen fysiikka, 1 op: painokerroin 25 %
Osa 3, säteilyfysiikka ja laitetekniikka, 2 op: 50 %
