Objectives (course unit)

The student
Has proficient knowledge in developing evidence based antenatal and postpartum midwifery care services
Has proficient knowledge in developing breastfeeding support as well as quality and effectiveness of local breastfeeding support services
Has comprehensive knowledge in developing antenatal and postpartum services in terms of clients’ diversity and multiculturalism
Has comprehensive knowledge in developing new local midwifery care models for antenatal and postpartum care

Content (course unit)

Involvement of women and their families
Development of quality and effectiveness of breastfeeding support
Development of quality and effectiveness of childbirth and family coaching
Multidisciplinary methods to support families expecting or having a newborn baby
Multidisciplinary approaches, such as perinatal mental health issues
Development of digital services and care pathways for antenatal and postpartum care
Development of work oriented midwifery care models for antenatal and postpartum care

Has key knowledge in identifying need for evidence based development in antenatal and postpartum midwifery care
Has key knowledge in evaluating the quality and effectiveness of breastfeeding support
Has key knowledge in evaluating antenatal and postpartum services in terms of clients’ diversity and multiculturalism
Has key knowledge in identifying need for new local midwifery care models for antenatal and postpartum care
