Assessment methods and criteria

The grade will account for about 70% of daily work including attendance, assignments, short exams and quizzes and about 30% of final exam.
- The total number of short exams (TASKS) is about 15 to 20. The number of questions in the tasks may vary from just one to several. Tasks are mainly done outside the lecture sessions.
- The total number of the assignments is three and they all include 6 or 7 problems from more than one topic. More information about the assignments is found in the Moodle.
- Quizzes are just simple polls taken during lectures.

The student has not participated in the daily work at the class and has not completed the required amount of homework (tasks and assignment). Student has not participated in the final exam. Student has not shown acceptable activity during the course, so the total score is less than 50% of the course's total score.

Assessment criteria - satisfactory (1-2) (Not in use, Look at the Assessment criteria above)

During the course, the student has participated in daily work and done homework (tasks and assignments). The student has participated in the final exam. The total score (daily work + final exam) of the course is more than 50%, but less than 70% of the course's total score.

Assessment criteria - good (3-4) (Not in use, Look at the Assessment criteria above)

During the course, the student has actively participated in daily work and done homework (tasks and assignments) showing good competence. The student has participated in the final exam and the total score (daily work + final exam) of the course is more than 70%, but less than 90% of the course's total score.

Assessment criteria - excellent (5) (Not in use, Look at the Assessment criteria above)

During the study period, the student has actively participated in daily work and completed homework (tasks and assignments) showing excellent competence. The student has participated in the final exam with excellent results. The student's total course score is at least 90% of the maximum course score.
