Objectives (course unit)

The student
- is able to apply acute nursing methods and technologies in renewable and digitizing environments and is able to innovate new ways of working in acute nursing
- is able to apply digital technologies used to support future decision-making
- masters the utilisation of remote diagnostics and monitoring and is able to train other professionals to use them

Simulation Instructor Training 2 cr.
The student
- learns the basics of instructing simulation learning situations
- understands the whole of simulation pedagogy in simulation teaching and learning process while considering different types of learners

Content (course unit)

- National digital acute nursing services
- Technologies for remote diagnostics and monitoring in acute care service chains
- Utilisation of different information sources in acute nursing with the help of supportive programs and artificial intelligence
- Simulation learning method: designing, implementing and evaluating a simulation exercise and its guidance

The student
- is able to describe the methods and technologies of acute nursing
- identifies the development needs of acute nursing
- is able to describe the digital technologies used to support future decision-making
- knows the means of utilizing remote diagnostics and monitoring
- knows the basics of simulation pedagogy and learning processes

Assessment criteria, good (3-4) (course unit)

The student
- handles the methods and technologies of acute nursing in their area of responsibility
- is able to identify and analyse the development needs of acute nursing
- is able to evaluate digital technologies used to support future decision-making
- knows the means of utilising remote diagnostics and monitoring, and is able to train the basics of them in their area of responsibility
- is able to apply simulation pedagogy and evaluate the learning process from the perspective of different types of learners

Assessment criteria, excellent (5) (course unit)

The student
- is able to critically evaluate the methods and technologies of acute nursing in their area of responsibility
- is able to analyse and innovate the development needs of acute nursing
- is able to evaluate digital technologies used to support future decision-making in their area of responsibility
- masters the means of utilising remote diagnostics and monitoring, and is able to train other professionals to use them
- is able to apply simulation pedagogy extensively and analyze different stages of the learning process from the perspective of different types learners
