Objectives (course unit)

Music History
Students have gained knowledge of the fundaments of the history of art music from the romantic era up to modern time. They recognize characteristics of the various periods of times and the unities and trends formed in different eras.

Content (course unit)

Music History
Fundaments of Romanticism in music, and music of the 20th and 21st century.

Prerequisites (course unit)

Music Perception, Analysis and History 1 or similar competences.

Exam schedules

History of Music: Exam in the last teaching session.
Music IT: To be agreed separately.

History of Music: Exam with written part and listening exam.
Music Information Technology: Assessing Tasks by Discussing Together.

Music Information Technology: Contact teaching, demonstrations, teaching discussion, exercises, assignments

Learning materials

Music history:
The student knows the basics of the aesthetics of the eras in the history of Western art music, from romance to the music of our time. He recognizes the stylistic features of the eras and outlines the entities and lines of development of the stylistic periods.
Course material will be distributed to the OneDrive folder during the course.

Attendance at 80% of contact teaching is required for the course

Content scheduling

This implementation focuses on classical music. The group is aimed at music pedagogy students.
