Objectives (course unit)
The student
- is able to work independently as a clinical expert in his / her area of responsibility in immediate acute nursing
- masters decision-making related to immediate acute nursing, its organisation and management
- masters the demanding special knowledge and skills of acute nursing and is able to apply them in his / her work
Content (course unit)
- assessment of the need and urgency of care, the different methods and the technology involved
- assessment of the need and urgency of symptomatic care and methods in acute care
- independent decision-making and problem solving
- strategic and operational management of acute care in different environments
- multi-professional teamwork, reporting and communication
- opportunities for digitalisation in acute nursing
- examination of the patient in different environments of acute nursing
Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1-2) (course unit)
The student
- is able to study and evaluate the urgency of the patient's condition and treatment in his / her area of responsibility
- is able to make decisions about the need for care as part of a multiprofessional team
- knows the operating methods of the acute care service chain and the related organization
Assessment criteria, good (3-4) (course unit)
The student
- is able to examine and evaluate the patient's condition using acute nursing methods and technology and equipment
- be able to assess the patient's state of health and analyze the patient's clinical condition in his / her area of responsibility and make decisions about the need for treatment and its urgency independently and as part of a multiprofessional team
- masters the special knowledge and skills of acute nursing and is able to apply them in their work
- is able to work in the digitalizing environments of acute nursing and is able to evaluate and develop it as part of a multiprofessional team
Assessment criteria, excellent (5) (course unit)
The student
- is able to examine and evaluate the patient's condition using the latest methods and technologies of acute nursing
- be able to analyze the patient's health and clinical condition holistically and make decisions about the need for treatment and its urgency independently and as part of a multidisciplinary network
- masters the demanding special knowledge and skills of acute nursing and is able to apply them in his / her work
- is able to operate in the digitalizing environments of acute nursing and is able to critically evaluate and develop the field
