Objectives (course unit)

The student is able to
- explain the basics of chemical properties of matter
- name common inorganic compounds
- solve simple calculation problems used in analytics

Content (course unit)

- periodic table
- the nomenclature of inorganic compounds
- the main types of chemical bonding
- number of moles, concentration, chemical equations, pH (strong acids and bases)
- oxidation, reduction, oxidation states
