Objectives (course unit)
The students are able to compare and combine traditions of film, television and art with future visions of audiovisual media. They demonstrate new ideas, concepts and formats. They are able to realize their ideas in small audiovisual projects or demonstrations. They are able to critically reflect and assess their processes and results and give and take feedback.
Content (course unit)
Supervised projects in workshop format. The students make short audiovisual projects or demonstrations in limited time. They share and analyze their ideas and experiences, and take and give feedback during and after the workshop.

Teaching methods
Teaching methods will include lectures, discussions, group work, research, bench marking, individual assignments, workshops and final film production.
Learning materials
There will be a course blog with references to written texts, lecture notes and videos.
Student workload
Students are expected to be able to invest considerable time in developing script ideas, attending all lectures and one full-week workshop as well as producing one short film in their own group.
Content scheduling
The course is divided into three parts: a) Script writing, b) directing performance and c) short film production.
International connections
The ultimate goal of the course will be to produce (in groups) short videos to be submitted to film festivals around the world.
