Further information
1. To know principles of composting and how to establish and monitor a biowaste compost
2. To know the principles of anaerobic biogas production and how to analyse a biogas process.
3. To know, how to analyse leaching from a waste and interpret the results.
Assessment criteria - satisfactory (1-2) (Not in use, Look at the Assessment criteria above)
Student has participated to laboratory exercises, but participation has varied and/or student has often been late from the exercises. Student has participated group work and reporting, but effort in participation has varied and contribution has been modest. Finding background information for the exercises and studying material in advance has been minimal. Laboratory exercises have been done barely acceptably and possible mistakes and errors have not been discussed or explained. Cleaning the workplace and washing laboratory glassware has sometimes been done by other group members or by lab caretaker.
Assessment criteria - excellent (5) (Not in use, Look at the Assessment criteria above)
Student has participated regularly to the exercises, and been present in the lab sessions arriving in time. Student has participated actively to the group work and treated other group members in a constructive manner. She/He has done the pre-tasks in time and has been well prepared to the exercises and participated actively in group discussions. She / He has studied the given material carefully and perhaps found some material of his/her own. Student has done the exercises carefully and either corrected or thoroughly discussed the possible mistakes and errors. Laboratory equipment have been cleaned/washed and the workplace has been cleaned carefully after the exercises. Student has participated the possible guest lecturer’s lecture session.
