Objectives (course unit)
The student is familiar with tonal music composition techniques and is able to apply them in practice.
Content (course unit)
• Homophonic and polyphonic style and composition technique exercises according to selected models from the period ca.1700 – ca.1900.
• Score and listening analysis.
Prerequisites (course unit)
Competence corresponding to the courses Harmony and Counterpoint and Voice Leading.
Assessment criteria, pass/fail (course unit)
The student masters voice leading and can create tonal structures appropriate to the style. The student can write texture according to the given style model for selected ensembles.
