Objectives

The students study and test using bus techniques in building automation systems. The students are able to independently search for information from the literature of the field. The students are able to form an understanding of the network traffic and methods in field bus technologies and how to apply them into practice. The students know the basics of KNX systems and the tools required to use it.

Content

Network topologies, transfer rates and mechanisms. Protocol and its functions. Basics of cooperatives.
Basic principles of using KNX system, its possibilities and characteristics. The students carry out practical exercises using ETS software.
