Basic InternshipLaajuus (10 cr)

Objectives

The general goal of the basic internship is to introduce the student to key tasks in forestry and customer service tasks and to provide opportunities to apply the learned knowledge and skills in practice.

After completing the basic training, the student:
• is able to function as a member of a work community.
• can plan and manage his/her own work and operate within an organization.
• is able to independently perform operational tasks such as forestry work, forest inventory, timber measurement, or logging planning, as well as tasks related to the production in the forest industry.
• is able to analyze his/her own work performance and make improvements.

Content

Functioning within an organization, planning and organizing one's work, monitoring and reporting, independently carrying out tasks related to forestry operations.

Assessment criteria, pass/fail

The prerequisite for an approved performance is that the student:
- delivers the internship contract to the forestry training program's internship manager before the internship begins
- completes the number of hours of training at the workplace corresponding to the credits
-does the required training learning tasks
-delivers the required certificates at the end of the internship

Further information

Perusharjoittelu voi olla suppeampi kuin 10 op, jos asiantuntijatehtävien harjoittelu on vastaavasti laajempi. Kaikkiaan harjoittelua tulee olla 30 op.

Asiakaspalvelutehtäviä metsäalan ulkopuolelta voidaan hyväksyä harjoitteluun 5 op.
