- knows the approaches and structures of community work

- can develop the social and health care service system by considering both the possibilities of community work and the authorities’ activities, combining the best aspects of these

- The history and status of the Finnish social and health care system

- Reform of the Finnish social and health care system

- Basis for community work and functional orientations

- Understanding of the cultural backgrounds and social and health care structures of different societies.
