Objectives

The student
- is able to safely care for a woman in labour being transported
- monitors the progress of the delivery and is able to deliver the baby
- knows the extraction procedure and demonstrates it in the simulation
- is able to take care of a newborn, insuring his/her wellbeing during transportation
- knows and practices the technique for a breech delivery
- is able to observe the basic vital signs of the child
- knows the most common issues related to the basic care of a ill newborn
- manages the resuscitation of a newborn
- is able to operate safely in different care situations in and outside the hospital

- works professionally and ethically

Fail
The student
- puts patient safety at risk
