Objectives (course unit)

After completing the course, the students will be able to
- Understand the essentials of Cybersecurity.
- Describe how the principles of confidentiality, integrity, and availability as they relate to data states and
cybersecurity countermeasures.
- Evaluate IoT security risks in an industry sector.
- Use industry-standard models to explain security requirements in IoT systems.
- Perform threat modeling activities to valuate physical, communication and application security vulnerabilities in IoT systems
- Use threat modeling and risk management frameworks to recommend threat mitigation measures
- Explain the impact of emerging technologies on IoT security

Content (course unit)

Cybersecurity, Threats, Vulnerabilities and Attacks, Protecting a Cybersecurity Domain, IoT Security Challenges, IoT Threat Modeling, Attack Surfaces, Vulnerability and Risk Assessment of IoT System.

Prerequisites (course unit)

Basic PC skills, Network Essentials.
