Objectives (course unit)

The student
- advances his/her expertise of public health nursing at different stages of life
- is able to critically evaluate his/her work and the working methods used
- is able to apply evidence-based and experience-based knowledge and to produce new knowledge for the development and renewal of working life
- can identify their own development, innovation and research skills and strengthen them in their health promotion expertise
- is able to develop health nursing work proactively and innovatively from the needs of society and working life

Content (course unit)

- developing evidence-based practice of public health care nursing and health promotion
- utilising the results of studies and projects as well as utilising other work communities’ competence in public health nursing
- reflective approach to work, critical reflection and evaluation
- the development task consists of a variety of tasks which integrate into the courses for public health nursing.

- is able to reflect his/her learning and competence
- works based on evidence
- is able to apply his/her learning and skills of health promotion at different stages of the life cycle

Fail
The student
- is not able to work based on ethical values

- does not work based on evidence
- does not perceive health promotion at different stages of life
