The ImplementationTeaching is carried out as multiform teaching consisting of independent online and contact teaching. Contact teaching can consist of online or local meetings. Contact meetings are held at least once a month for two consecutive working days. There is at least one close-up in the academic year, which involves evening entertainment and overnight stays.

Teaching Methods
The schedule of contact meetings may include the following elements:
- Teacher-led or student-led introduction to the current topic of the course
- Working on the course either alone or in a group
- A demolition session for a learning assignment, where the topic to be completed is discussed in the team under the guidance of the teacher and given feedback
- The study may be deepened, for example with visitors, business visits, videos and other online materials.

During distance learning you will learn in the following ways:
- Independent acquisition of information on the subject of the learning task and the supportive exercises related to the online chat learning task
- The implementation of sources supporting the topic of the module, such as reading literature, watching videos, and, for example, carrying out a project or development task related to the essay writing module (e.g. at the workplace for its needs), and preparation of the initialization of the reporting
- "Learning cell work"
- Contact meeting or other tasks related to the module theme.

After the second year of studies, you are able to develop a profitable and responsible online business. You are familiar with the basics of legislation governing digital business and are able to communicate in the languages you are studying in writing and orally. You are able to make effective use of various digital marketing measures in marketing and selling e-commerce products and services.

After the third and fourth years of studies, you are able to promote the sales, internationalisation and growth of an e-commerce company. You manage independent project work, are able to coordinate entities and understand the importance of platform economy and value networks in digital business. You have the capability to work as a digital business expert in various positions or as an e-commerce entrepreneur.

Curriculum development and working life cooperation

The digital business curriculum has been designed in cooperation with TAMK, regional university representatives and regional development companies and other influencers. Its social objective is to provide business interested persons living outside the regional centre with study opportunities in addition to work and to provide opportunities for developing, testing and implementing ideas during studies and as part of studies.
The training is planned and implemented in cooperation with the region's business community. As a TAMK degree student, you have the opportunity to choose studies also from the University of Tampere's offerings according to your personal study plan. Through this cross-study, you can participate in university courses, joint projects and thus build your individual competence. You can also complete studies at other polytechnics through a national study offering.

Further information

Team learning and coaching are the main pedagogical approaches. There is a possibility to join the study modules via the open university or so called "polkuopinnot".
Students in the open university can participate in any course if there is room in the group and previous studies allow them to do so.

Accreditation
Studies previously completed can be credited to a degree. Credit transfer opportunities will be explored in guidance discussions with the teacher at the beginning and during the studies. Applications for good reading are submitted to Tamk's intra system.
If you have gained competence that corresponds to the contents of the curriculum through other previous training or work experience, you can demonstrate your competence with different displays and thus get your previously acquired skills incorporated into this degree. The AHOT process is reviewed in the guidance discussions at the beginning of the studies and as they progress. The methods of demonstrating the demonstration of competence are agreed with the teachers responsible for these courses in accordance with TAMK's AHOT principles.

International Student Exchange
It is possible to start an international student exchange from the International Student Exchange Programme. Student exchange is suitable for 2- 4 years. The credits completed in the exchange are credited to the degree with the original names and scopes. They replace studies that would have been in the Rules of Procedure during the exchange, unless otherwise agreed.

Practical Training
The work tasks related to the traineeship must be of a level of business administration. If possible, the first traineeship can also be completed in your company or workplace.

Swedish
The oral and written proficiency of the 2nd finnish language, which is part of the Swedish Language University degree, must be demonstrated during the studies. In the curriculum, this is included in swedish language courses
