Objectives (course unit)
Upon completion of this course, the student will be able to guide individuals in oral self-care utilizing client-centered and evidence-based methods. The course provides insights into theories of health promotion and models of health behavior change. Additionally, it equips students with the skills to incorporate digitalization into health promotion practices.
Upon completion of the course, the student will be able to:
• Explain the key concepts of health promotion.
• Describe the ethical principles of health promotion.
• Discuss theories of health promotion and models of health behavior change.
• Utilize effective health promotion methods and justify their use with evidence-based information.
• Apply knowledge in planning, implementing, and evaluating health promotion interventions for individuals, groups, and communities.
• Apply digitalization in oral health promotion within the field of oral healthcare.

The student will be able to:
• Define the key concepts of health promotion.
• Explain the ethical principles of health promotion.
• Define some health promotion theories and a model of health behavior change.
• Utilize effective health promotion methods.
• Plan, implement, and evaluate health promotion for individuals, groups, and communities, identifying some theoretical knowledge required for this.
• Provide examples of how digitalization can be utilized in promoting oral health.
