Objectives (course unit)
During the cource, you familiarize yourself with the social and health care service system, digital health and safety services. You get to know basics of information security and importance of customer information. You will also get to know service design and its importance in the development of social and healthcare services.
After completing the course, the student
• Knows the service system, the general principles of legislation and the context of social and health services and identification of one's own profession as part of the whole.
• Recognizes the importance of customer digital inclusion in evolving social and health services and is able to assess the suitability of digital solutions and e-services from the customer's perspective.
• Recognizes the importance of multidisciplinary cooperation and development in social and health services.
• Recognizes service design and innovation methods as a tool for multi-professional development and develops skills for customer-oriented development as part of their work.
• Understands the importance of data security and data protection in data production and reporting in social services.

Pass:
The student
• Can describe the structures of the social and health service system.
• Understands the importance of multidisciplinary cooperation in the development of client-oriented services.
• Can describe development methods and his/her role in development processes.
• Passes the course assignments and actively participates in group work.
• Can apply the principles of data protection and information security and know the principles of information production.
Fail:
The student
• Does not know how to describe the structures of the social and health service system.
• Does not understand the importance of multi-professional cooperation in the development of client-oriented services.
• Does not know how to describe development methods and his/her role in development processes.
• Does not pass the coursework and does not actively participate in group work.
• Does not know how to apply the principles of data protection and data security and does not know the principles of information production.

No exam. All individual assignemnts and group work must be completed.

Further information
All social and health care students are welcome to register for the implementation. Students who are not part of the 24TOKASA group will be accepted in the order of registration. The maximum number of students for the course is 60. Stidents in the implementation will be devided in to 3 small groups A, B and C.
Scheduled meetings are mandatory, excluding voluntary team guidance sessions.
Participation in the orientation and small group meeting is mandatory. If a student cannot attend the orientation and small group meeting, they cannot participate in the course. If the student has a compelling reason for their absence, they must contact the responsible teacher before the orientation.
If a student is absent from the Sote Virtual Lab visit, they can make up for it by attending with another group. The student must arrange the visit directly with the teacher of the other small group.
If a student is absent from the final seminar, the compensation must be agreed upon with their own small group teacher.
If a student does not participate in the course according to the above instructions, they may retake the course in the following semester.
The implementation plan may be updated before the course orientation.
