Objectives

The Student
- is able to critically evaluate national and international perspectives, good practices and special issues of the mental health promotion;
- is able to analyze the agency, developmental needs and future perspectives of the social- and health care services from the mental health promotion point of view;
- is able to critically examine and develop the realization of participation from the perspectives of individual, family, community and society;
- is able to apply multidisciplinary, research-based mental health promotion related knowledge in different development activities;
- is able to implement mental health promoting methods in his/her own field of expertize and critically evaluate their impact.

- mental health promotion strategies, programs and campaigns (in municipal, national, EU and international levels)
- prevention and promotion, evidence based methods in mental health promotion
- ethical questions and stigma related to promotion of mental health
- participation and prevention of exclusion
- recovery orientation
- early interaction and trauma orientation
- digital methods supporting mental health promotion

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1-2)

The student
- is able to search for information on the subject and is able to use national and international sources
- is able to apply the collected information at a descriptive level when reviewing current practices and means of action
- does not display a critical evaluation of the topic
- participates in the course inconsistently.

Assessment criteria, good (3-4)

The student
- is able to seek evidence-based knowledge from both national and international sources, and is able evaluate the sources critically
- is able to construct both analyses and syntheses of the topic
- is able to use the acquired knowledge in critical evaluation and development of current practices
- generally participates in the course actively and professionally.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

The student
- is able to retrieve evidence-based knowledge from a number of national and international sources of information, critically evaluate the studies and synthesise the collected data
- shows a profound command of the subject
- is able to evaluate current practices critically and is able to create new evidence-based practices
- participates in the course actively and professionally.

If the student does not attend the intensive course, the grade will be reduced by one number.
