The title of the graduating students of the Degree Programme in Clinical Nursing Expertise is Master of Health Care. The degree is comparable with equivalent degrees in other EU countries.

The extent of the degree programme is 90 credits ( cr) and the education lasts for two ( 2 ) years.
Teaching methods
Variable teaching methods are used: lectures, independent study, virtual studies, project studies and master's thesis
In the degree programme curriculum, professionalism and expertise in acute illnesses are seen as connected, expanding and advancing processes. The basis and focus of the curriculum is formed by the master's thesis ( 30 cr ), mainly implemented as an action research supported by the course contents, methods and tasks.

Master’s Thesis ( 3o cr )
Elective Studies ( 5 cr)
Learning outcomes: In this programme nursing professionals gain advanced knowledge, skills and competences which enable autonomous working in demanding expertise tasks. The students will attain the ability to act as experts and developers of clinical nursing in acute illnesses.
The focus of the degree programme is on evidence based nursing in acute illnesses. The degree programme gives qualifications to act as clinical experts in acute illness situations and develop different health care organizations both in public and private sectors. In addition, the education enables development of nursing staff and nursing environment in the changing world.
