Objective of course
The student:
-knows the basic equipment used in laboratory work
-commands the operation, use and quality assurance principles of the basic equipment
-is aware of water and reagent management in laboratory work
-is aware of the principles of laboratory work
-knows the biological, physical, chemical and psychological risk factors
-knows the key occupational health and safety legislation
-is able to take the environmental and labour protection aspects into consideration in their work
Course contents
-basic equipment of laboratory work and its use
-measurement of volume, centrifuges, mixers, thermostats, light microscope
-production and preservation of chemically pure water
-production and preservation of reagents
-occupational safety and labour protection organisation
-biological, physical and chemical risk factors
-psychological labour protection
-waste disposal
-legislation, statutes and other norms
Teaching methods
Lectures, independent assignments, study visit, supervised clinical training in the teaching laboratory
Assessment methods
Active participation in teaching, written graded assignments, graded examination
