Objectives
The students are able to compare water and plumbing systems with regard to environmental hygiene, the building and comfort of living. The students are able to define and agree on water and sewer needs, based on recognised condition needs and using various criteria, in collaboration with the authorities. The students have an overview on the water and sewer systems of a building and how they are connected to the other building services. They recognise the structure of municipal water resources management and how the equipment in a building is connected there. They know the regulations and instructions governing the field and are able to apply them. The students know how to choose, dimension and place cold and hot water and sewer fixtures, fittings and pipes. The students know how to select an energy saving and functional heating device for hot water. They know how to select a suitable waste water processing system for a building located in rural area. The students recognise the drying systems for buildings’ foundations and plots. They recognise how a fire gets started and spreads and the basics of different fire extinguishing methods.

Communal water sources management and rural solutions, regulations and instructions for planning, implementing and using water and plumbing systems, water systems of a building, energy economy and water consumption of a water supply system, water and sewer fixtures, waste and rain water systems of a building, protecting pipes and sewer network, sound technology of water and sewer systems, producing hot service water, separators and pumping plans for sewage water. Equipment used to change the water pressure in a building. Different fire extinguishing methods.
