Life Cycle Management and Sustainable Design (3cr)

Objectives

Students know factors affecting life cycle economy of construction. Students master the key assessment and steering methods used to define effects of construction investments and later decisions. Students are also introduced to classification tools and environmental certificates.
After the course, students can make needed life cycle economic reports as team members.

Life cycle economy factors and tools in construction
Life cycle reports at different design and construction phases Direction of design from the life cycle viewpoint
Life cycle reports in building use, renovation and going out of use
