Objectives
The students is able to observe sound as a tool for communication and cultural significance and to think about how the sonic environment is understood and produced. The students learn to sharpen their listening skills and to assume and apply the basic concepts of soundscape research (keynote sounds, acoustic horizon, hi-fi, lo-fi, soundmark, signal, noise).
Content
Introduction to the soundscape research and acoustic communication, listening i.e. ear cleaning -exercises, the importance of listening to the well-being of people and environment, charting the selected sonic environment. Sound art and sound ergonomics.
