Objectives
The students know the stages of an audiovisual production. They know the tasks of the members of the working group, the working order in a filming situation and are able to work as a part of the filming crew in small projects. The students are able to work as responsible members of a working group.
The students are able to transfer a script into a production plan and to schedule the production. They are able to create the planning documents for the production.
The students know how to prep and use video equipment. They know how the make the necessary connections and to calibrate the monitor. The students know how to use lighting and recording with the video camera.
The students know how to build a 3 and 5 point lighting. They can utilise the white balance in a filming situation and know how to light the object being filmed. The students are proficient with light and electric power connections.
In a filming situation, the students can record both on the video camera and on an external recorder. They can act as both boom operators as well as sound recorders.
The students know the stages of post-production process. They are able to organise and import material into the editing software. The students are able to edit image and sound and to carry out level correction for both. The students are able to create opening and closing credits and to export a finished video.
The students know the stages of sound post-production. They are able to edit a dialogue and to carry out the necessary dubbing. They are able to edit and mix sound with the image.
The students are able to create the publishing format of the finished work.
Content
The stages and tasks of an audiovisual production. During the course, the students create a working book, in which they collect the evidence of the required skills.
