-students are familiarised with diverse fields of music publishing and related copyright and contract issues
-students can draw up and implement effective marketing strategies for published recordings
-students can use appropriate negotiation skills in music business negotiating situations

-background and history of publishing
-copyright and contract issues related to publishing music
-music publishing as a business, the roles of publishers
-sub-publishing
-drawing up and implementing marketing strategies for published recordings
-practice of negotiation skills and communication in diverse music business situations
