Objectives
The students recognise and understand central speaking and performance conventions of visual arts art and are able to apply them to the analysis of visual culture.
Content
The course examines visual arts a part of modern art. The course consists of two parts: introduction to visual arts and picture analysis. In the part Introduction to visual arts art is considered as a widening field of action, which has produce new ways of doing and expressing, such as performance, positional art, environmental, conceptual and media art. In the part of Picture analysis, the starting point is cultural research and applying discourse analysis. The students also learn about the analysis of contents and form as well as psychoanalytical and semiotic interpretations.
